Aktiv Grotesk is a condensed sans-serif typeface designed by Dalton Maag. The ubiquity of Aktiv makes it a good fit for brand exercises that call for a wide typographic palette — or when a little less brow-beating is in order. Not like many others grotesque font families. Berthold, retracing its own roots it reimagined the origins of Akzidenz-Grotesk and extended its successor to become a full, universal Activ Grotesque family. Aktiv Grotesk tends to match nicely with bold serif typefaces like Cordale, King’s Caslon and Lexia.
