CA Spotnik Font is a condensed geometric Sans Serif with a vintage look, coming from a variety of typographic styles, This odd shape was quite in keeping with the surroundings. So we took some screenshots and then added some more letters in our experimental fashion to capture what had attracted us so. The result is a grotesque with little contrast; proportions are quite wide with a large x-height.
The more bold the weight, the wider it gets. There is also a standard s if you find the swirly one uncomfortable. The general atmosphere of the typeface is (to borrow a term) “nerdy but friendly”; this is not dependent on the latter detail. It is rather the sum of details following from the original model.
