
Redaction is a multiplicity of typographic, legal, and human histories. The typeface was commissioned by Titus Kaphar and Reginald Dwayne Betts’ The Redaction exhibition at MoMA PS1.
Redaction is a typeface that seeks to capture the history and problems of the US criminal justice system. It is based on legal documents from claims filed by the Civil Rights Corps.
Redaction fonts are available in 3 styles (Regular, Italic, Bold) and 7 grades of degradation for a total of 21 fonts. All fonts have full character sets for Latin-1 language support.
